Artists working in all mediums may be accepted. Artists are required to be available for the complete residency period of November 12 – December 7, 2025. Artists must be able to transport themselves and their supplies to and from the residency site. Open to professional working artists only. Currently enrolled students are not eligible.

Visual artists at any stage in their career and working in any medium are welcome to apply. Artists must be over the age of 21 and living and working in the United States.

Must have the ability to work in the United States and receive income from Loghaven Artist Residency and the Aslan Foundation, per US tax law. Threatened artists from any field of practice
Graduate students, recent college graduates, doctoral/post-doctoral researchers, artists, and public art professionals with research experience, a working knowledge of public art in the U.S., and some experience in research in the specified topic area are encouraged to apply.
Artists must be working at a generative level within at least one of the following fields: Film, Literature, Performance, Visual Art. Queer|Art|Mentorship is for artists who are: Self-identified as queer, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, non-binary, and/or intersex, Based in the United States, including US territories, Early-career and professionally focused, with a body of work already behind them, Not currently enrolled in school or university, And have a specific project they’d like to work on with a Mentor during their Mentorship cycle.
Open to professional visual artists who are 21 years old or older. Artists must have a current lease for an artist studio in New York City, but do not need to reside in New York City. The artist studio cannot be residential. Studios can be shared but the applicant’s name must be on the lease. The applicant cannot be a part-time or full-time student.
Artists in all genres of visual arts. The applicant must be the originator of the material of the artwork. Artist(s) applying must be a current citizen or resident of the United State and must currently reside in New York City and have lived there for a minimum of one year prior to applying and plan to be a resident through the completion of their project.
Artists from any country who have either received a degree in studio arts or had their debut show at a gallery or juried art exhibition between 2015 and 2023.
Applicants must be artists or arts workers (e.g., arts administrators, cultural producers, culture bearers, creatives, cultural practitioners, teaching artists, or specialized technicians). Applicants’ change-making action(s) must have taken place or started (i.e., the action is still in progress) on or after January 1, 2020. You must be at least 18 years of age or older to enter. All photography must relate to people being impacted by climate change, and/or people trying to reverse and/or mitigate climate change. Must include photographer name, title, date, location and description of each photograph submitted. All images must have been taken within between August 1, 2024 and August 5, 2025.
Two partners are required (one from the arts sector and one from the non-arts sector) – both partners must be located/reside in South Arts’ nine-state region (Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, or Tennessee). A minimum of one of the two partners must be a non-profit, tax-exempt organization, an official unit of local, county, or state government (including an institution of higher education), or a federally recognized tribal community that has a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) number.
